Pumpkin pie...
Halloween is coming and last weekend my hubby made traditional pumpkin pie. I've never had this type of pie before - so I was super exciting about it. The result didn't disappoint - maybe I just needed a tiny bit more sugar. Recipe to follow in the next picture.
"33 acts of kindness" day9
Today I have given a pile of books to my local library! I hope they will give others the same pleasure and knowledge they shared with me!

Victoria & Albert museum.
Last weekend I went to the Victoria & Albert museum. I opted for the 'Club to Catwalk' exhibition that shows London fashion in the 1980's. I also love shopping at the V&A - it offers unique presents for everybody.
"33acts of kindness" day 8
We had a very bad weather since last night, so today's act of kindness is for the little bugs in our back garden! I done a "Bug Hotel" for them to shelter from the worse storm in a decade! I give it a 5 stars rate :-)

Balham market.
Balham has a small local market. It offers veg & fruit, freshly made pasta, yummy cupcakes and some antique bric a brac..
I love shopping there - it's personal, it's cheaper than most places and you meet lovely people. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to visit.

Christmas tasty treats
To cut a long story short - Basically I had way too much short crust pastry left - so my sister came up with this simple solution. Roll out the pastry to about 5mm thickness. Add sugar & cinnamon, and then fold over once. Cut in different shape & sizes, brush some egg on top and bake for 15 min in 180 degrees. It looks cute even to give as a present. Super pleased.

Lazy Oaf x Looney Tunes
Today I went to an opening event for the store Lazy Oaf. Lazy Oaf has once again teamed up with Warner Brothers (last year was a Batman theme) to design a collection of menswear, womenswear and accessories with our favourite childhood cartoon Looney Tunes. Just love it!
"33 acts of kindness" day7
Today was a small, big act, but so simple and I hope will help lots of people in the long run ( many years from now!)
Being a organ donor is a simple act take will not change nothing in your life style, but can change lots of people's lives!

My best friend Sandra
My beautiful friend got married last Saturday! 19th October was a sunny day for Sandra and Deividas. Was a shame I wasn't there but through the pictures I can see that the day was very special! All the best!
"33 acts of kindness" day5
Today my random act was early.... 6.45a.m early! I popped into Vitoria Station's Starbucks and after asking for a double espresso (should asked for a quadruple!) I asked for a loyalty card with a top up of £5, and give it to the lady standing behind me in the queue! She was a bit confused, but I didn't give her time to understand....and I just vanished like a ninja :-)

4. Play with my cat.
5. Have a lavender bath.

7. Go for a walk.
8. Read a book.
9. Watch a 'happy' movie - my favourite is 'Despicable me'.
10.Eat that ice cream in my freezer.

Duck and Waffle restaurant...
Duck & Waffle is located on the 40th floor of Heron Tower. It's the highest restaurant in the UK. The lift that takes you up is all glass so you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. The food and the service were fantastic. I had the famous 'Confit duck with duck egg and maple mustard syrup' - It tasted absolutely amazing. I know it's unusual to have duck for breakfast but... Its not everyday I go to places like this...

33 acts of kindness- day 1
I'm 33 working days away from my 33th birthday, so to celebrate, I decided to do 33 acts of kindness, some completely random, some to people that realise deserve an extra treat! Keep following and feel free to share ideas and experiences!
Day 1
Afternoon tea to a homeless in Apollo Theatre in London
Radox salt.
Radox salt is the best stuff to use for your achy muscles. At the moment I'm on a yoga challenge and hot bath regime. Using Radox salts helps me get through each day of my challenge. E

Parsnip soup with haddock.
So today I decided to make this perfect autumn soup. First you cook an onion, garlic and 800g of parsnips in butter. In the mean time poach your haddock in water or stock. Add more water to your soup base and cook until the parsnips are soft. Blend the parsnips and add flaked haddock. For decoration - chop some parsley, spring onion and boiled egg.

Balthazar
So finally I managed to get down to restaurant Balthazar (London). I must say the atmosphere, the food and drinks were amazing. I opted for Scallop Risotto as a starter. For main I had a half Lobster with dauphinois potatoes and for dessert - I chose petit four. I must say the portion sizes were generous. That's good for me.

Look up
Most of the time we walk and don't look at what's around us and I think sometimes we need to stop to appreciate the moment. E
Crab apple jam and jelly
I just love this time of the year!
I have this "need" to start preparing for the Winter...and nothing better then some homemade jam and jelly.
For the first time a had a go with crab apples and the result was yummy!
1) Wash and cut away stem and blossom ends
2) Bring the apples to the boil with just enough water to cover them for about 30 minutes
3) Drain the apples throw a muslin cloth or jelly bag WITHOUT squeezing the bag or the jelly will go cloudy.
4) Drain the apple flesh (the one that was left over inside of the muslin cloth/jelly bag) through a colander, just to remove pits and skin.
5) Bring the apple "juice" to boil with sugar ratio of 10:7 (for 10 parts of juice, like 1000 gr add 7 parts of sugar, 700 gr) and juice of 1 lemon and in other pan the apple flesh with sugar ratio of 10:7, cinnamon sticks and juice of 1 orange

Crafty Fox market
Last weekend I visited the Crafty Fox market. It was set up in one of the Brixton pubs. There were plenty of different traders including my favourites - Yvonne Ellen homeware, Mieary - handmade vintage accessories and Lil3birdy - nature inspired stationery. Crafty Fox market has become the go to destination for emerging designers and ideal for finding unique birthday presents. E.

Don't you just love it when the sun shines in London! It seems that everybody is happy around you. Girls look a little bit more beautiful, boys look more charismatic.❤ My lovely Sunday was spent in Brixton Village (food festival) and I managed to get to my yoga class too. I feel in high spirits so much so that I'm ready to tackle the coming week. E
